Key Responsibilities Support pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, learning difficulties and sensory needs Follow individual support plans and EHCP targets Provide tailored 1:1 and small‑group support inside and outside the classroom Use visual aids, communication tools and structured routines Assist pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies Support personal care routines where required (training provided) Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, SENCOs and pastoral teams Help create a safe, engaging, inclusive learning environment Encourage independence, communication and social development What We're Looking For Level 2 or Level 3 childcare/education/TA qualification or a relevant education‑related degree (essential) Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care, residential, SEN or childcare settings all considered) A calm, patient and resilient personality Ability to adapt to changing needs throughout the school day Strong communication and teamwork skills Understanding of autism strategies, sensory needs or communication tools such as PECs or Makaton (desirable) Why Work With Monarch Education?
