This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. The salary follows a fixed incremental pay scale, this starts at £30,000 per year, rising each year in line with our salary progression bands, up to £36,000 per year.

Job Opportunity
We are seeking a positive, motivated, and experienced individual to lead our Criminal Justice team. The role requires the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across a range of criminal justice and partner agencies, including Probation Services, prisons, and other key stakeholders.
As a Team Leader, you will provide strong operational leadership and oversight of a complex caseload, ensuring high standards of practice across the team. You will be responsible for supporting staff in delivering effective risk assessments, care planning, and psychosocial interventions (PSI), while driving performance and achieving positive outcomes for individuals within the criminal justice pathway.
Wigan and Leigh is an integrated drug and alcohol service delivering an asset-based, community-focused approach to treatment. The service specialises in harm reduction, including needle and syringe provision, psychosocial interventions, and opioid substitution treatment. We also facilitate access to detoxification and a wide range of community-based recovery interventions.
Essential Skills
The successful candidate will be highly organised, resilient, and results-driven, with excellent time management and the ability to support and develop others within a fast-paced and demanding environment.
You will motivate your team to deliver exceptional services to those we support and will have the ability to connect quickly with both staff and service users, treating them respectfully and with dignity.
You will have:
* ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent or a commitment to complete within 18-months
* Experience working in the health, social care or criminal justice setting and of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
* A successful track record of management responsibility and development of others
* An understanding of the issues facing people experiencing challenges in relation to drug/alcohol and/or mental health challenges
* Knowledge of health and safety, including assessing high risk situations
* Ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Be results driven and possess analytical skills
