Responsibilities
* Lead high-quality care for patients with complex endocrine conditions
* Support and mentor the endocrine nursing team, fostering professional growth
* Help shape and expand endocrine services across the trust
* Provide specialist advice to multidisciplinary teams for assessment, planning, and care
* Act as a key resource for patients, families, and healthcare professionals in primary and secondary care
* Lead nurse-led clinics, inpatient consults, education, service development, and audits
* Become a Key Leader in Endocrine Care
What Youill Do
* Provide expert endocrine care via nurse-led clinics, treatment planning, and inpatient support, ensuring personalized, compassionate care
* Act as the key worker for complex endocrine patients—delivering tailored education, support, and guidance
* Lead endocrine testing, interpret results, prescribe treatments, and collaborate with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
* Develop and enhance endocrine services, supervise and mentor junior staff and students
* Deliver specialist education to patients, carers, and professionals, empowering them with knowledge
* Communicate sensitively with patients and families, supporting informed decisions and building trust
* Maintain accurate records, lead audits, and support quality improvement initiatives
* Promote evidence-based practice, participate in governance, and manage resources effectively
* Drive continuous learning and innovation to keep our endocrine services at the forefront of excellence
