The Role
If you have any particular skills, hobbies or interests that you would like to share, or perhaps want to get involved in other ways, we would love to hear from you!
We very much work around the availability of our volunteers, and so each volunteer and what they do is individual. Typically, volunteers may get involved in things like:
1. Spending time with residents who perhaps have friends or family who can’t visit them regularly,
2. Carrying out gardening activities,
3. To get involved in outdoor activities,
4. Being involved in art and craft sessions,
5. Being involved in baking and cooking workshops,
6. Being involved in clubs (such as book club or knitting club),
7. Support events within our homes,
8. Playing cards and board games.
Requirements
No previous experience is necessary to become a volunteer in one of our homes.
Our process for volunteering or work experience is:
9. Complete an application form,
10. Invite you in for a chat to get to know you,
11. Carry out a free DBS check (if aged over 16),
12. Invite you in for an induction to get to know our home and residents.
