Business Support Coordinator - 10 month FTC / Secondment

Cambridge, UK

Clinical Operations brings together all the skills groups to drive critical operational activities for early and late stage medicines development.

We have deep and specialist expertise in study and site management, data management, technical systems and processes, and in working with Contract Research Organisations and partner organisations to ensure the fast, efficient, ethical and quality delivery of our clinical trials in countries around the world.

Reporting to the Business Support Manager this role will focus on providing high level PA support to one of our VPs and members of their leadership team, based globally. We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and flexible individual with experience of working at senior level in a fast-paced, complex, global environment.

Your accountabilities:

1. Proactive calendar management, identifying and resolving conflicts

2. Coordinate complex travel and meetings and off-site events in different time zones, in line with AZ policy

3. Work collaboratively with global colleagues to deliver a lean, consistent and professional global support service, including knowledge sharing and training within the Business Support team

4. Be an expert in using technology to efficiently complete tasks and propose technology based solutions

5. Manage and create Purchase Orders

6. Control projects under general guidance ensuring delivery of outputs according to plan, reviewing and refining plans as necessary

7. Prepare documents, materials, agendas and presentations

8. Plan, organize, and schedule own workload, so that all activities are completed accurately and on time while using and developing best practices

Essential requirement for the role:

9. Significant experience in the PA arena

10. Excellent technical skills, proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, MS-Teams and SharePoint Online

11. Entrepreneurial thinking with respect to use of future technologies

12. Good communication and interpersonal skills

13. Fluent English skills

14. Experience and confidence using virtual meeting technologies

15. Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks/assignments simultaneously and effectively

16. Strong customer service skills

17. A high degree of personal credibility when interfacing with organizations internal and external to AZ

18. A strong self-starter

Desirable experience for the role:

19. Experience of working in a pharma or healthcare environment
