Working for Waukesha Bearings as a Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for the commissioning of new active magnetic bearings installations that we manufacture and servicing existing installations both remotely and on-site when required, on a worldwide basis. Additionally, you will provide support for production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.
For more than three decades, Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has applied proven magnetic bearing technology to advance the performance of rotating equipment. We lead the industry in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performing rotating equipment, including turbo expanders, multi-stage natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.
What You Will Bring
* HNC/HND Electrical Engineering or similar qualification
* A minimum of five years of related experience in commissioning automation systems
* Knowledge of European safety standards is beneficial
What You Will Do
* Be fully involved in commissioning on a worldwide basis, including subsystem testing prior to site installation
* Provide servicing and support on a global basis
* Respond to service call-outs internationally
* Complete system integration and testing according to company procedures
* Provide documentation for testing of installations and cabinets
* Assist with cabinet testing
* Ensure all cabinet and system requirements are met by delivery date
* Meet safety and quality standards relevant to each country
* Achieve commissioning targets as agreed with customers
* Present a professional approach and demonstrate technical competence to customers at all times
* Support business objectives through various duties
* Role may include responsibilities for commercial activities as time permits
* Up to 50% travel, including international travel
