Tucked away near Lennoxtown with open countryside all around, Finniescroft Farm is more than just a home. It is a place where children and young people can feel part of something, with space to grow and people to support them. We create a homely, therapeutic environment where young people can build confidence, explore new opportunities, and enjoy being involved in the community around them.
At CrossReach, everyday moments like playing a game, cooking a meal or walking on the beach help build trust and change young lives. The children in our care have faced real challenges, and your role is to help them feel safe, supported and ready for the future.
You’ll work in one of our small, community-based houses alongside a great team, with children attending our new purpose-built school nearby.
In this role, you’ll:
* Build strong, supportive relationships
* Help children with daily routines and activities
* Support care plans and work closely with Lead Practitioners
* Focus on the why behind behaviours, not just the what
* Provide flexible relief cover to support the wider team
We’re looking for someone who has:
An HNC in Social Care and SVQ Level 3, or who is currently working towards these qualifications, along with experience in care or education. You’ll hold a full manual driving licence, as outings are part of the role, and bring a calm, compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help children feel safe, valued and able to thrive.
At CrossReach, you’ll be supported by an experienced team who are committed to delivering the best outcomes for children. You’ll have opportunities to develop your skills and provide care that is tailored to individual needs.
When you’ll be working
This is a relief role offering flexible working to meet service needs. The house works to a 3-week rolling rota, typically covering a mixture of early shifts from 7am to 3pm, late shifts from 2pm to 10pm and sleepover shifts. Shifts may vary depending on the needs of the young people, and additional payment is provided for sleepovers. January and February start dates are available.
Ready to make everyday moments meaningful and provide support when it matters most? Apply now.
