Do you have personal or professional experience of supporting families, or family members? Our Family Support Volunteer could be the role for you. You’ll be helping our Family Link Workers to provide families with support, strategies, routines and befriending.
Responsibilities
* Maintain regular contact with a family and offer emotional support to ease the feeling of isolation.
* Provide practical support and be an extra pair of hands to the family during stressful periods.
* Adopt a non-judgemental approach and be available on weekdays and weekends as required.
Qualifications and qualities
* Empathetic and compassionate with the ability to listen well.
* Experience, personal or professional, of supporting families or family members is desirable.
