About the role
We are currently looking to recruit to our skilled instructor team looking for individuals with experience/qualifications in Animal Management to deliver practical and husbandry related subjects to predominantly Further Education learners although this may be supplemented with delivery to schools groups, and Higher Education learners.
We are looking for exceptional, well organised individuals to deliver across a range of courses within the animal management area. You will also implement quality assurance processes and develop new curriculum content that keeps us at the forefront of this evolving arena.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver outstanding practical instruction on animal husbandry and handling skills to learners.
* Maintain up to date technical knowledge in order to maximise effective knowledge transfer.
* Assess practical competence and related knowledge using a variety of methods in order to maximise learner potential.
* Supports Animal Management lecturers to deliver outstanding student experience.
* Actively involved in curriculum development including attendance and participation in team meetings.
The successful candidate will:
* Level 3 in a relevant subject.
* Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent
* A teaching qualification is required (or willingness to work towards one).
* Demonstrable experience of delivering practical training sessions, being able to plan effectively and inspire learners.
* Demonstrable experience of animal handling.
