Are you a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Newcastle (NE5) to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs, starting in September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a full-time, term-time role supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in the school environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual learning plans and provide consistent support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored support to a pupil with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met
* Support learning across a range of activities, adapting tasks where necessary
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment
* Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress and well-being
* Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil, staff, and parents
Essential Requirements:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)
* Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
