Job Description:
The role
M&A Operations is a market-leading team within the Strategy & Business unit in the Deals line of service, assisting both Corporate and Private Equity clients in high-impact business situations. Our work mainly focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), both pre and post deal, and includes non-deal transformation projects with a fast-paced Private Equity mindset.
Our team is diverse and friendly, with members from various backgrounds and disciplines.
Our services include:
1. Buy and sell side operational due diligence: evaluating business performance and identifying improvement opportunities to unlock value.
2. Carve-out and divestment support: assessing standalone business operations and transitional needs.
3. Supporting clients in executing business separation and ensuring a smooth Day 1 transition.
4. Mergers & Acquisitions Integration: protecting and growing value through effective integration and synergy development.
5. Performance improvement using Rapid Value Creation methodology: identifying where value lies and generating cost savings.
What your days will look like:
The team is based in London, but projects are global and may require short-notice travel, including overseas assignments for multiple weeks with regular trips home.
The team is sector-structured, with cross-sector specialists in Finance, Technology, and Integration. You will be aligned with the Industrial Products & Services and Energy, Utilities, Resources & Infrastructure sectors, but project types will vary based on market demand, requiring flexibility.
The skills & experience we're looking for:
* Operational management or transformational experience in a corporate setting, with involvement in private equity operations or operational transaction services.
* Experience in lean manufacturing, operational restructuring, or cost reduction.
* Strong understanding of functions such as engineering, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
* Ability to assess business performance quickly and identify improvement opportunities with limited information.
What you’ll receive from us:
We offer benefits designed to support and recognize your contributions, including flexible working arrangements, private medical cover, virtual GP access, volunteering days, and more.
