Asset and Capital Delivery Manager – 12-month fixed term contract
Location: Plymouth and surrounding areasReporting to: Head of Asset DeliveryManagement Responsibility: Contract Works Supervisors
Job Purpose:Join my client’s team as an Asset and Capital Delivery Manager and lead the delivery of multi-million-pound capital investment and property improvement programmes. Ensure projects are completed safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget, while providing strong operational leadership in project delivery, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise a team of Contract Works Supervisors, focusing on performance and professional development.
* Oversee the end-to-end delivery of capital investment and property improvement programmes, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and quality standards.
* Provide operational leadership to the capital delivery team, setting clear objectives and managing workloads.
* Act as the primary client representative for capital projects, coordinating with engineers, consultants, and contractors.
* Manage capital budgets, including financial monitoring, forecasting, and budget reconciliations.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including health and safety standards.
* Lead contract management activities, including procurement, performance management, and dispute resolution.
* Engage with residents, leaseholders, and stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure clear communication regarding capital works.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Significant experience in delivering capital works or property improvement programmes within a regulated environment.
* Proven ability in managing contracts and leading teams.
* Strong knowledge of construction, property maintenance, and capital delivery practices.
* Excellent financial and analytical skills, with experience in budget management and cost control.
* Robust communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant construction or property-related qualification; Health & Safety qualification NEBOSH (General or Construction)
* Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
