Join to apply for the Operations Manager role at Siltbuster Ltd (doing business as Workdry International Ltd).
Based at our Head Office in Monmouth, the Operations Manager is responsible for all workshop and yard operations, maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality, ensuring a right first time approach and on time delivery to all customers (internal and external). The role requires acting as a leader for the team and building strong relationships with peers to deliver best in class service.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Operational Team to success while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and identifying and closing out operational risks.
* Manage and develop direct reports, including identifying skills gaps, training, mentoring and coaching to ensure everyone performs their role effectively within each team function.
* Ensure all quality incidents assigned to the Operations function are investigated, with root cause, corrective actions and preventative actions completed.
* Ensure all equipment is assembled according to drawings and build lists and tested to meet client and business requirements.
* Plan effectively to ensure required resources (People, Equipment, Space) are available to satisfy customer demand and develop plans to bridge any gaps.
* Provide a positive leadership role in SHEQ behaviours and ensure policies are implemented effectively within teams.
Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive Engineering and/or manufacturing Management experience
* Proven experience with team management including mentoring and coaching
* A Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing/Engineering or related subject
* In depth knowledge of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards
* In depth knowledge of regulations and standards relevant to industry
* Exposure to Lean methodologies – Six Sigma, Kaizen, Everyday problem solving
* NEBOSH or IOSH Safety qualification
* Driving licence
