Duties and responsibilties
* Deliver Housing Options – Homeless Counter services
* Make sure that every application for a homelessness duty is reviewed, assessed, and processed in line with all statutory requirements, including the Homeless Reduction Act 2018.
* Oversee the handling of homelessness applications and the allocation of temporary accommodation to ensure the Council fulfils its legal responsibilities.
* Provide support for all desk-based and counter-related functions within the Housing Options service area.
* Operate an ‘out of hours' standby service during evenings, weekends, and Public Holidays.
