The Role:
We are looking to recruit a Criminal Duty Solicitor to join our busy and respected team covering Barrow-in-Furness and Kendal (on rota).
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a duty accredited solicitor with at least 12 months experience in criminal law who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent and advise clients on a wide range of criminal matters
Attend police stations and courts as part of the duty solicitor scheme
Manage caseloads effectively using the firms case management system
Deliver excellent client care and communication
Participate in the out-of-hours police station rota
Promote the firms full range of services
You will have:
Duty Solicitor accreditation and eligibility for duty solicitor schemes
At least 12 months experience in criminal law
Strong organisational and case management skills
Excellent communication and client service skills
A proactive and professional approach
