Roles and Responsibilities
1. Supervise Accounts Payable team members.
2. Obtain the relevant level of signoff of for invoices and expenses.
3. Ensure all invoices are correctly recorded within the purchase ledger.
4. Resolve all invoice related queries.
5. Ensure invoices and expense claims are settled within the relevant payment terms.
6. Maintain a reporting log of issues and late payments
7. Ensure new and existing supplier accounts are managed appropriately.
8. Responsible for other expense processing including via Concur.
9. Preparation of payments and obtaining the relevant signoff.
10. Ensure all bank transactions are correctly recorded within the ledger.
11. Ensuring completion of all bank reconciliations within agreed timescales.
12. Maintain and update purchase ledger and payment procedures.
13. Continually look to improve processes and assist with any improvements made within the team.
14. Develop good relationships with senior members of staff.
15. Develop good relationship with suppliers.
16. Assist with the recording of bank receipts where required
17. Providing ad hoc assistance when required.
Experience
18. Experience in a similar role;
19. Team Management experience;
20. Purchase ledger processes;
21. Reconciliations;
22. Setting up systems and documenting procedures; and
23. Insurance Market / Lloyd’s knowledge is desirable.
