Job Title: Senior Healthcare Assistant (Temp-Perm)\nLocation: Leeds\nSalary: £13.50/hour\nHours 37.5 hours/Week\nOur client is a family-owned business that has been established for over 7 years and is passionate about providing the right care to their clients.\nWe are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly organised Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their care team. This role combines hands-on care with key administrative duties, supporting both service users and the wider care team to deliver exceptional home-based care.\nThe successful candidate will provide high-quality personal care to clients in their own homes while also supporting the Registered Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks, scheduling, and team coordination.\nResponsibilities for the Senior Healthcare Assistant role include:\n * Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans.\n * Support clients with daily tasks including personal hygiene, mobility, medication, nutrition, and companionship.\n * Act as a senior point of contact for carers and respond to any immediate concerns in the field.\n * Mentor and support junior carers, including assisting with inductions and shadowing.\n * Monitor client well-being and report any changes in condition to management.\n * Assist with rota planning and staff scheduling to ensure adequate care coverage\n * Maintain accurate care records and update care plans as needed.\n * Handle telephone and email queries from carers, clients, and family members.\n * Support compliance with CQC regulations by maintaining documentation and audits.\n * Help with training coordination, supervision, and performance reviews.\n * Carry out spot checks and service user reviews.\nCandidates applying for the Senior Healthcare Assistant role will need:\n * Minimum 2 years’ experience in domiciliary/home care.\n * NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).\n * Strong communication and organisational skills.\n * Be available to work shifts and weekends on a rota\n * Confident using digital systems (care software, Microsoft Office, etc..).\n * Ability to lead a team and act under pressure.\n * Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.\n * Experience in scheduling or administrative support within care.\n * Knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.\n * Previous experience as a senior carer/team leader.\nFor more information about the Senior Healthcare Assistant position, contact Carolyn
