We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to provide essential leadership and management across our supported living and mental health services in Derby.
This role is perfect for a Senior Support Worker or existing Team Leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional, person-centred mental health support and empowering a dedicated team.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, quality of care, and professional development of your Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
You will provide hands-on leadership and oversight in four core areas:
* Team Management: Lead daily briefings, effectively allocate staff and workloads, and maintain a highly visible presence within services to coach and motivate the team.
* Quality & Compliance: Conduct site visits, manage audits (medication, H&S), ensure practices meet CQC standards, and promptly resolve maintenance/safeguarding concerns.
* Service User Support: Champion dignity and independence, coordinate with external professionals (Social Workers, families), manage "money carer" duties, and ensure deep understanding of all individual support/risk plans.
* Development & Growth: Provide regular supervision and feedback, support continuous professional development (CPD), and lead post-incident reviews for shared learning.
What You'll Bring (Essential Requirements)
* Experience: Proven experience as a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or similar leadership role within social care, supported living, or mental health settings (1 year preferred).
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 achieved, or currently working towards it.
* Leadership Skills: Strong ability to prioritise, make confident decisions under pressure, and foster a positive, professional team culture.
* Licence: Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
* Availability: Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota.
