We are currently recruiting for a Project / Contracts Manager to join a well-established flooring contractor delivering a wide range of projects across London and the South East.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong flooring knowledge who is looking to progress their career within a growing and professional business.
The company delivers projects across:
* Commercial
* Residential
* Healthcare & Hospital environments
* Fit-out & refurbishment sectors
Project values typically range from £3,000 up to £80,000, with the successful candidate managing approximately 45 live projects at any one time.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to a high standard.
You will work closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal management to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing multiple flooring projects simultaneously
* Coordinating labour, subcontractors, and material deliveries
* Attending site meetings across London & the South East
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, and site teams
* Managing programmes and ensuring deadlines are achieved
* Monitoring quality control and Health & Safety compliance
* Resolving site issues efficiently and professionally
* Assisting with procurement and project planning
* Managing project variations and reporting progress internally
Requirements
* Previous experience within the flooring industry
* Experience managing flooring projects or contracts
* Good understanding of flooring systems and subfloors/substrates
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload
* Client-facing and commercially aware
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* First Aid
* Experience within healthcare or live environments
This position would suit either:
* An experienced Flooring Project/Contracts Manager OR
* A strong Supervisor or Site Manager looking to step up into a management role
