About the role
1. You will be based at SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK Ltd, EfW Plant, Haverton Hill Road, Billingham, TS23 1PY, United Kingdom
2. You will be working 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.
3. You will be earning £28,294.34, up to 3% bonus and access to SUEZ benefits.
4. You will be working towards an Engineering maintenance technician - dual discipline (electrical and control and instrumentation technician bias), level 3 apprenticeship over a 48 month period plus 4 month end point assessment.
What will I be doing?
As part of our technical scheme in engineering, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the safe, efficient and sustainable operation of our plant. This is a great opportunity to build your career in industrial engineering, maintenance and sustainability, while learning from experienced professionals.
In this role, you will:
5. Support plant installations, modifications and upgrades, contributing to safe and sustainable operations
6. Assist with plant shutdowns, helping to plan and safely execute essential maintenance activities
7. Carry out calibration and instrumentation testing, developing your technical skills with real equipment
8. Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians, gaining mentorship and exposure to different areas of the business

What are the requirements?

9. A genuine interest in industrial engineering, plant equipment and systems, with a willingness to learn and grow
10. A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for problem-solving
11. GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
12. The right to work in the UK (if applicable to your organisation’s requirements)
