Role Summary:
Boleskine House Foundation is seeking a passionate and environmentally-minded
Volunteer Nature Officer
to help oversee our biodiversity initiatives across the estate. From wildflower meadows and wetlands conservation, to our community orchard and hedgerow planting schemes, you'll play a key role in protecting and restoring nature across one of the most unique locations in the Highlands. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on local biodiversity, while working alongside a committed team of volunteers.
Please note this is an unpaid voluntary position. You will be supported by our volunteer team, with access to project histories, planting maps, and collaborative input from trustees and community members.
Responsibilities:
* Help lead and coordinate ongoing biodiversity projects on the estate
* Develop seasonal action plans for habitat enhancement and native planting
* Coordinate or support volunteer days and community conservation events
* Maintain planting records, species logs, and habitat monitoring where appropriate
* Support public engagement by helping draft interpretive signs, handouts, or digital updates on biodiversity efforts
* Contribute advice to future conservation plans and funding applications
