Registered Manager – Therapeutic Children’s Home
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £52,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience)
Additional Benefits:
* £2,500 annual performance-related bonus
* £1,000 incentive upon successful completion of probation
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Setting: 4-bed Ofsted-regulated therapeutic children’s home
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed therapeutic children’s home in Rochdale. This is a key leadership role within a highly supportive organisation, committed to delivering outstanding care and life-changing outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of the home in accordance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
* Ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care that promotes each child’s emotional, social, and educational development
* Foster a positive, resilient culture that motivates and empowers both young people and staff
* Oversee all aspects of the home’s operations, including staffing, safeguarding, budgeting, and inspections
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with therapists, education providers, and local authorities to deliver fully integrated, child-centred care
Ideal Candidate
* Holds (or is working towards) the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager position within a children’s residential setting
* Demonstrated success in achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted outcomes
* Knowledge and application of therapeutic and trauma-informed care models
* Strong leadership skills with a passion for delivering exceptional standards of care and support
