My client is a leading specialist engineering organisation based in Yorkshire who specialise in large-scale materials handling systems. The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
Develop designs and specifications for control systems for company product range
Coordinate site, application and design engineering resources to meet technical requirements
Ensure effective interface between design, production, procurement and site to optimise project costs and implementation.
Develop a working understanding of Industry Standards.
Manage technical content of projects with respect to cost, quality, contract documentation, specifications, etc.
Manage electrical & engineering content of projects to budget (i.e. design hours, outsourcing, site labour, etc.)
Attend Customer sites when necessary
Liaise with customers engineering representatives
About You
To be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess demonstrable experience gained as an Electrical Design Engineer withknowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications.
Key selection criteria for the role includes:
Design engineering experience in a drawing office environment.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical 2020 / 2022.
Experience gained working within a project engineering framework
Knowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications
Knowledge of materials handling equipment
Knowledge of relay logic and designing to meet BS EN 13849 Safety of machinery and BS EN 61508 Functional safety of electrical/ electronic/ programmable electronic safety-related systems
Constructive approach to work within a dedicated team.
IT skills (Word/Excel/Outlook) together with a
Excellent communication skills.
