Reed are working with an accountancy practice who specialise in dealing with music and entertainment clients, based in central London. The firm are leading in their field, working with exciting clients in the industry. You will be joining a team of six other accountants, to oversee the training and management of the more junior team members. Additionally, you will have responsibility for a portfolio of clients, completing bookkeeping and producing management accounts on their behalf, as well as reviewing work completed by your team.
You can expect to join a friendly, close-knit team in an office with a total headcount of nearly 50 accountants. The role is hybrid, with 3 days working from home offered per week. The salary for the position is dependent on experience but will be up to £70,000.
Responsibilities will include:
• Managing a portfolio of over 20 clients (Music artists, artist management companies, charities etc).
• Overseeing all bookkeeping for clients; ensuring that accounts are prepared accurately to trial balance.
• Reviewing quarterly VAT returns.
• Preparing setsof management accounts.
• Supervising touring activities for all clients, including tour reports, budgets, and variance analysis in various currencies.
• Portfolio billing, including reviewing clients'WIP, dealing with client queries, and chasing debtors.
• Participating in staff appraisal and providing feedback as required.
• Joint responsibility for supervising and developing a team of trainees and bookkeepers.
• Representing the firm at music industry events.
Requirements for the role:
• ACA/ACCA qualified.
• At least 5 years of experience in practice.
• Experienced with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks orc Twinfield.
