QS Project Manager – Bespoke Construction
Location: Mid-Kent (with travel to sites across South East)
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 package
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent
The Opportunity
A long established bespoke construction company is seeking a QS Project Manager to oversee a range of small to medium scale projects across the south east. This role suits someone who has come up through a trade background—ideally carpentry or a similar hands on discipline—and progressed into Quantity Surveying, Project Management or a hybrid commercial/operational role.
The company delivers high quality, bespoke work, so this position is ideal for someone who enjoys detail, craftsmanship and working closely with clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing residential construction projects from pre construction through to completion
* Cost planning, estimating and take offs
* Preparing tender documentation, Bills of Quantities and subcontractor enquiries
* Managing budgets, variations, CVRs and commercial reporting
* Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
* Liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
* Ensuring compliance with building regulations and health & safety standards
* Overseeing final accounts and project close out
About You
* Background in a trade such as carpentry, joinery or similar
* Experience in residential construction, ideally with bespoke or specialist projects
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of build processes
* Confident managing budgets, subcontractors and client relationships
* Able to work independently and travel to sites when required
* Full UK driving licence
