THE JOB
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Procurement Manager within their Construction division, to play a pivotal role in the delivery of a multi-billion-pound capital investment programme. Reporting to the Capital Procurement Lead, you will drive the procurement strategy across a diverse construction programme, ensuring best practice and value for money at every stage. You will be accountable for delivering robust procurement processes, managing a wide supplier base, and leading contract negotiations that support critical investment projects.
Your duties will include:
* Develop, embed, and deliver programme and project procurement strategies aligned with long-term investment plans.
* Manage a diverse supply chain (including framework and specialist suppliers), ensuring safety, quality, cost, sustainability, and schedule targets are achieved.
* Lead procurement processes from market engagement through to contract award, ensuring compliance with governance and procurement principles.
* Oversee the negotiation, evaluation, and award of multi-million-pound contracts.
* Provide leadership and guidance to procurement professionals, fostering collaboration and best practice across integrated project teams.
* Ensure robust risk management and supplier performance monitoring across first, second, and third-tier contractors.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* You must have extensive senior level procurement experience within a large Construction company or infrastructure projects
* Client-side experience is an advantage
* MCIPS qualification - Ideally
* Proven track record of delivering complex, high-value procurement projects in regulated environments.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience developing diverse and inclusive teams.
* Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
* Knowledge and experience of NEC4 contracts (options A, C, and E) highly desirable.
* Experience in procuring Design, Professional Services, Specialist Systems, and Construction projects is advantageous.
