Scottish Ambulance Service – National Vaccination Operational Manager
Hours: 37 hours per week (36 hours from 1 April 2026). Base: National Headquarters, Edinburgh. The Scottish Ambulance Service delivers urgent medical care to over five million people across Scotland.
We are seeking a dynamic and forward‑thinking National Vaccination Operational Manager to lead and coordinate the Scottish Ambulance Service Vaccination Programme. This national programme delivers a comprehensive range of vaccinations throughout Scotland, improving access for remote, rural and underserved communities. As Operations Manager you will drive public health initiatives, reduce health inequalities and ensure effective delivery of vaccination services at scale.
This position sits within the Clinical Quality & Professional Development Directorate, under the Infection Prevention & Control Service, and reports directly to the National Vaccination Services Manager.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication and robust organisational skills. The successful applicant must:
* Be a Registered Health Care Professional
* Have substantial experience working within vaccination services, with proven operational management capabilities
* Show initiative and excel in leading and motivating teams
* Hold a valid UK driving licence with C1 or D1 category
