An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support officer to join our Youth Justice team at Hampshire County Council.

The Role:
The Hampshire Youth Justice Service is a multi:disciplinary team which works with children aged 10 :18 years old who are at risk of offending or re:offending and subject to a range of community and custodial interventions.
Within the service there are a wide range of professionals including specialist practitioners in mental health, Police, Probation, Restorative Justice, Parenting and Education, Training and Employment. This combined multi: disciplinary team allows Hampshire Youth Justice Service to function at the highest level.
What you'll do:
:To provide direct business support for Hampshire Youth Justice Service working closely with operational staff, managers, and customers in a highly sensitive environment.
:Under supervision maintain, update and extract information from systems.
:Assisting with the collection and collation of information relevant to the service.
:Respond to, and resolve where appropriate, telephone, face to face, e:mail and postal enquiries.
What we're looking for:
:Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast:paced environment.
:Experience in providing business support within a public sector, youth justice, or social care setting (desirable).
:Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record:keeping, and document preparation.
:Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems.
:Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
:Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners.
:A proactive and flexible approach to problem:solving and supporting operational needs.
:Understanding of safeguarding principles and the importance of accurate documentation in youth justice work.
:Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in service delivery and workplace culture.
:Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and legislative requirements.
