About The Role:
Days of Working: 08:00am-16:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with the team to create seasonal food and drink menus for the site and events for the client and visitors.
* Oversee all staff, including kitchen assistants, chefs, and servers, ensuring that the team’s creations meet the client’s needs and all legal and company requirements are met daily.
* Train team members on menus, serving procedures, company etiquette, safety standards, and regulations.
* Adhere to budgets set by line managers when planning catering operations, including food, equipment, staffing, and supplies.
* Establish relationships with vendors to ensure procurement of food and supplies at the best prices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience managing Contract Catering operations and teams, with a full understanding of the catering process.
* Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent, plus unit management experience in Contract Catering.
* Proven leadership skills to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of chefs.
* Experience building relationships with clients and staff, ensuring expectations are met daily.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
Ideal Candidate Criteria:
* Right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to undergo DBS or Enhanced Security checks.
* NVQ Level 3, HNC, or HND in Hospitality is beneficial.
* Management experience within the contract catering industry is essential.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Practical problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Good time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Food hygiene certificate (Level 2) is advantageous but not mandatory.
