We have an exciting opportunityfor a Neurodevelopmental Support Coordinatorto join oursupportive team and facilitate effective communication for all.
This role involves providing information, advice, guidance, support andsignposting for children, young people who have suspected neurodiverse needs andtheir families. The aim is to ensurefamilies can access support at the earliest opportunity to meet the needs ofchildren and family.
The successful candidate with work other Coordinators and themulti-disciplinary team across Lancashire andSouth Cumbria, whilst being based within our supportive team.
Main duties of the job
Communicate SLT CIC are delighted to be chosen as partners to provide the Neurodevelopmental (ND) Support Hubfor the Blackpool and Fylde area. This new service will provide consistent, equitable, ND support in-conjunction with partners across Lancashireand South Cumbria. Providing structured, inbound early support model that families can access directly for timely advice, practical strategies, information,signposting and early intervention support.
This new service has funding secured for the first 9 months although we hope the funding will continue for a much longer period.
We may be able to offer a job share with some Speech and Language Therapy Assistant work if we find candidates who have the motivation and aptitude for a mixed post.
Job responsibilities
As the Neurodevelopmental Support Coordinator, for the Blackpool & Fylde area you will provide a structured, early support model for families to offer timelyadvice, practical strategies, information, signposting and early interventionsupport.
Tier 1 early support
* On receipt of referral, making contact with the service user
* Follow a structured support conversation template
* Undertake a needs-led assessment
* Signpost to resources
* Provide personalised follow-up
* Capture data for reporting
Universal early help
* Support the use of waiting well strategies
* Provide pathway guidance and clarification
* Co-create short support plan
Tier 2 connect and build capacity
* Deliver online workshops and local hub workshops
* Host drop-ins and peer support groups and themed support sessions
* Offer ND programme interventions
As a Communicate Team member
* Regularly reflect on the quality of your provision and access clinical supervision within the team via regular meetings, supervision, mentoring and appraisals.

Experience
* Experience of communicating with young children and their families.
* Experience of working with children and young people who are neuro-diverse.
* Experience working with multi-disciplinary colleagues for the benefit of service users.
* Experience or training in modelling, coaching and supervising others.
* Experience in accurate, timely record keeping and recording information for monitoring.
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
* Level 3 in education related course

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
