A Design Engineer position has become available within a business that supplies high-value technologies right across the world. On-site they produce a range of complex products using a mix of traditional and modern manufacturing techniques, supplying these to a broad range of customers. Design Engineer responsibilities include -
* Designing tooling, jigs, fixtures and gauges to support production requirements.
* Producing and maintaining 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs and associated documentation.
* Providing engineering support to production, resolving tooling, process and material issues.
* Driving continuous improvement through tooling upgrades and design standardisation.
* Streamlining engineering and documentation processes to support efficient production.
Design Engineer desirable skills and experience -
* Minimum 2 years within a similar role such as Graduate Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer.
* Proven design background within a production environment.
* Strong experience using 3D CAD software such as Catia or SolidWorks.
* Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and modern manufacturing methods.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadline.
