About the Role:
We are recruiting a dynamic and experiencedClinical Lead / Head of Careto take a lead role in the launch and ongoing management of our newly establisheddomiciliary and complex care division. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape and build clinical operations from the ground up—developing care processes, managing a multidisciplinary care team, and embedding best practice in all aspects of service delivery.
As the most senior clinical figure in the new division, you will be accountable for ensuring robust care quality standards, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence across all services. You will play a central role in supporting the organisation’sCQC registration and ongoing compliance, including leading any future inspections or audits.
This role is ideal for a qualifiedRegistered Nurse (RN or RMN)with a strong background in complex care and a passion for service development. You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership to implement effective systems, nurture a skilled care team, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the clinical setup and operational development of our new domiciliary and complex care services.
* Create and implement care delivery processes, risk frameworks, and staff training pathways.
* Provide day-to-day clinical leadership across complex care packages, including PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, epilepsy, and end-of-life care.
* Support and mentor a growing team of carers and healthcare assistants, overseeing competency and clinical supervision.
* Take ownership of allCQC inspection readinessactivities and lead on-site during regulatory audits.
* Conduct client assessments and ensure care plans meet all clinical, legal, and ethical standards.
* Serve as the lead clinical liaison with commissioners, healthcare professionals, families, and regulators.
* Oversee incident investigations, safeguarding concerns, and ensure that all learning is actioned and embedded.
* Ensure all services meet the standards of NICE guidelines, CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs), and other relevant frameworks.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability) with a valid NMC PIN.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a clinical leadership role within domiciliary or complex care services.
* Proven experience in designing and implementing clinical processes and compliance frameworks.
* In-depth understanding of CQC regulations, audit requirements, and clinical governance.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build a high-performing team.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
* Ability to contribute totender submissions, including clinical input onservice design, workforce planning, and pricing modelsto support business growth.
* Desirable: Advanced knowledge or hands-on experience with specialist care areas such as ventilation, PEG/trach care, or neurological conditions.
