We’re looking for a Insights + Commercial Strategy Director to join us on our journey of true nourishment.
Purpose
Be the voice of the customer, connecting all customer data to drive valuable insights and convert those insights into tangible actions. Ensure we deliver accelerated customer-led growth that enables wagamama to outperform the market. This role is also accountable for developing, in partnership with the Chief Marketing + Commercial Officer and the executive team, a 3-year growth strategy across five key battle grounds. It includes leading our pricing and promotional strategy recommendations and managing our Out Of Restaurant (OOR) commercial strategies and execution plans to maintain our market leadership through customer-centric thinking.
Key Responsibilities
* Be the voice of the customer: Use customer data to drive 3-year growth strategies aligned with key focus areas such as winning with families, being the first choice with groups, resetting our value proposition, promoting healthier/light options, and increasing share with loyal guests.
* Data and Insight Management: Oversee all customer data sources, including external market data, brand health tracking, ad hoc research, internal data, CRM, and Loyalty data. Transform data into insights and actionable strategies.
* Leverage New Technologies: Apply AI and social listening tools to enhance understanding of customer insights and business success.
Growth Strategies
* Co-create customer-led growth strategies: Including menu expansion and developing the commercial construct of the Soul Club loyalty program to drive profitable growth over three years.
* Lead Out-of-Restaurant Growth: Focus on delivery, responsible for P&L of our Deliveroo business, and develop strategies for retail and future channels aligned with customer preferences.
Team Leadership
* Coach, develop, and inspire a high-potential team.
* Provide leadership that is forward-thinking and broad-minded.
Requirements
* Senior leader with over 10 years’ experience in insight and strategy roles within the industry.
* Experience managing insight teams and leading commercial growth initiatives.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Ability to analyze and tell stories through multiple data sources.
* Experience managing commercial partners, especially delivery partners, is essential.
* Creative and strategic thinker with confidence in representing the brand.
