The School and the Role
Vision for Education are recruiting an exceptional English Teacher to work in well-regarded, OFSTED 'Good' rated school in Tameside.
Starting in September 2026, the successful English Teacher will cover a full-time period of maternity cover. Teaching to all year groups in KS3 and KS4, with full teaching responsibilities of planning/adapting lessons, marking, attending department meetings and parents evenings.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, supporting pupil progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community. This role offers the chance to work with engaged learners, collaborate with professional teaching teams, and further develop your classroom practice.
The successful English Teacher will join a school where staff consistently hold high academic standards and expectations, behaviour is good and a high importance is placed on extra curricular opportunities.
Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)
To be considered for this teaching role, you must:
1. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
2. Have recent experience teaching in a school setting
3. Be able to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
4. Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
5. Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
6. Be able to provide suitable references, hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS, and have the Right to Work in the UK
