Geography Teacher Wanted! (Secondary School - Chelmsford)
Are you passionate about rivers, rocks, rainforests and real-world adventures? Do you get excited about tectonic plates, climate change debates, and helping young minds discover the world beyond their doorstep? If so, we might have the perfect job for you!
Our vibrant secondary school in Chelmsford is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and inspiring Geography Teacher to join our friendly team. We're searching for someone who can bring maps to life, turn classrooms into continents, and make students curious about the amazing planet we call home.
What you'll be doing:
Delivering engaging and creative Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 welcome if you fancy it!)
Inspiring students to explore everything from volcanoes and earthquakes to cities and sustainability
Planning exciting lessons, discussions, and the occasional map challenge
Supporting fieldwork trips and helping students connect classroom learning to the real world
Being part of a supportive department that loves sharing ideas (and the occasional biscuit)
What we're looking for:
A qualified teacher (QTS or working towards it)
A genuine love of Geography and the world around us
Someone who can make learning interactive, interesting, and memorable
A positive, team-spirited attitude
A teacher who believes every student can discover their place in the world
Why join us?
A welcoming and supportive school community
Opportunities for professional development
Engaged and curious students
The chance to shape future explorers, environmentalists, planners, and global citizens
A great staff team who enjoy working together
If you're ready to help students explore the world - from the Amazon rainforest to the streets of Chelmsford - we'd love to hear from you
