Duties and Responsibilities
* Preparing journals to record expenses in accounting ledgers
* Matching expense submissions against the receipts
* Verifying employee expenses and bank payments for processing reimbursement
* Recording payments of these expenses in sub-ledgers
• Generating journal vouchers and get these approved by seniors
* Maintaining petty cash balance
* Preparing bank reconciliations
* Assisting in preparation of budget vs actual analysis
* Reporting discrepancies and mistakes to seniors
* Assisting in other ad-hoc projects
* Manage insurance payments (claims, surveyor fee, FAC, premium return and claim fund).
* Checking and making payments for employee expense reimbursements.
* Posting journals to accounting/insurance system, including but not limited to operational/insurance payments and investments.
* Monthly summary of the cash movements of the XIS accounts.
* Preparing bank transfers instructions for investments as advised by senior team members/ Chief Investment officer.
* Assist in analysing selected expense accounts by comparing actual spent against the budget.
* Other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time, for example, covering for other team members in their absence.
Job Specifications
* Graduate and have basic knowledge of accounting. No prior work experience is required
* Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word
* Good attention to detail
