What this role is all about:
As one of our Technology Operations Team Leaders, you’ll play a key role in supporting and guiding our desktop support team while continuing to develop your own technical and leadership skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career, combining hands-on technical work with the chance to lead and mentor others. You’ll receive plenty of support to grow into the role while helping us deliver reliable, customer-focused IT services.
Key Actions
* Act as a hands-on team lead, supporting day-to-day technical tasks while helping the team stay on track.
* Motivate and guide team members to achieve their goals and deliver excellent service.
* Help monitor and improve performance against SLAs and KPIs.
* Promote a positive, customer-focused culture within the team.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and security standards.
* Work with other teams to support wider business initiatives.
* Suggest improvements to processes and service delivery.
* Be adaptable as we modernise and improve our IT services.
What do you need to thrive?
* Experience working in a busy IT support or technology environment.
* A strong desire to develop leadership skills and take on more responsibility.
* Confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
* Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills.
* Exposure to Active Directory and domain environments.
* Good technical experience with Microsoft technologies.
* Basic understanding of networking and storage concepts.
* Familiarity with working to SLAs and delivering quality service.
* Logical approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new solutions.
