The Role You'll Play
In this graduate role, you’ll join our Structural Engineering team to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction design projects in the UK and worldwide. You’ll provide specialist consultancy input on projects across a wide range of sectors, working closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice.
You’ll work with and be guided by a team of expert engineers to carry out conceptual as well as detailed structural engineering design and analysis, using maths, science, and problem-solving skills to design inspirational and sustainable structures.
This role will require you to define and translate clients’ needs into designs for buildings, infrastructure, facilities and services with sustainability at the forefront. You’ll have the opportunity to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, with accredited professional development programmes from the IStructE or ICE toward Chartership.
The Skills You'll Bring
* On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
* Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
* Keen interest in structural design and analysis for the built environment, with a passion for creative and intuitive design.
* Desire for personal and professional development; able to work effectively as part of a team.
* Understanding of Digital engineering concepts (Parametric Modelling Techniques such as Grasshopper or Dynamo) or at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, C#, VB).
* Organised and methodical in task management and capable of meeting deadlines.
* Collaborative in nature with excellent written and verbal communication to internal and external stakeholders; able to use initiative to overcome challenges with a positive attitude.
