We’re on a mission to make low-cost travel easy – and whatever your role here, you’ll help connect millions of people to what they love using Europe’s best airline network, great value fares, and friendly service.
Team
The Competency & Training Manager reports to the Head of the Integrated Management System within the Safety, Security & Compliance (SSC) division, ultimately reporting to the Director of SSC. While this role owns the strategy and delivery of SSC training and professionalisation, the role holder will be supported by one direct report and various specialist stakeholders. Success depends on leading a coordinated strategy and operational approach across matrix teams within and beyond the SSC division.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of the SSC Competence & Training strategy, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements and aligns with business objectives. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a robust competency framework, mapping training to specific roles, and establishing assessment processes to support knowledge retention and reduce operational risk. Centralising training operations, you’ll oversee scheduling, resource management, candidate tracking, reporting, certification, and budget planning. You’ll drive continuous improvement in training delivery and materials, promote stakeholder engagement, and provide accurate data insights to support programme uptake and development. The role also involves delivering training courses and materials, ensuring all processes are well documented, and acting as deputy to the Head of the Integrated Management System when required.
