This is a 24-hour RCVS Accredited Hospital and Emergency Service Centre, As a trusted referral and OOH provider for 19 local practices, alongside a thriving first-opinion service, the hospital offers a uniquely diverse caseload. From routine wellness care to complex referral cases, no two days are the same, and every case provides an opportunity to learn and grow.
The hospital has been built on a foundation of education, teamwork, and development. With over 60 colleagues — including vets and nurses holding postgraduate certificates in ECC, Small Animal Surgery, Medicine, Dentistry, and Anaesthesia — you’ll be surrounded by people who are passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting each other. As a nurse-led hospital, the RVNs play a central role in patient care, anaesthesia, and surgery, supported by an environment that encourages autonomy, confidence, and continuous learning.
There, you’ll find a structured and nurturing setting where you can develop your clinical and technical skills under the guidance of experienced RVNs and certificate holders. You’ll have the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of the hospital, from wards and theatre to anaesthesia and inpatient care, managing a range of cases from straightforward to highly complex. Whether you’re learning to manage feeding tubes, wound care, and drains or monitoring intricate anaesthetic procedures, every shift will contribute to your professional growth.
You’ll also benefit from strong mentorship and ongoing CPD opportunities, with active encouragement to pursue further qualifications when the time feels right. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a warm, collaborative team where learning is celebrated, curiosity is encouraged, and every question is valued.
