Electrical Project Engineer – Environment

Dorchester / Poole

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen in Dorchester / Poole for an Electrical Project Engineer to join the growing team at Galliford Try.

You will work on our Wessex West Frameworks within our Environment Business, experienced in delivering schemes of varying sizes, mainly for the Water Industry, across Treatment Waste and Water projects.

Ideally, you will be based in or around Dorchester / Poole and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the region.

Reporting to the Delivery/Project Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of projects alongside the Project Manager and team to ensure a safe working site. Your responsibilities include providing programme updates, reviewing designs, conducting site checks, and procuring materials.

As part of the Project Delivery Team, you’ll liaise with the Commercial Team, attend client meetings, and collaborate with site teams to maintain high standards across projects.

Your role involves managing electrical schemes from inception to completion, utilizing in-house resources, site installation, and construction personnel. Typical projects include Pumping Stations, Dosing Systems, Chlorination plants, and related civil structures.

About You:

You should have a relevant engineering qualification and a passion for your discipline. Experience in a multi-site or Water Industry setting is desirable but not essential.

On-site, you should hold ECS, SSSTS, SMSTS, City & Guilds Confined Space, EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene), and Appointed Persons certifications. We will support training needs as required.
