Prior’s Court exists to transform the lives of the autistic young people with complex needs in our care; to help them achieve the impossible and give their families the magic moments they never thought they would have.

At our West Berkshire-based charity, we employ around 500 staff, working full-time, part-time or as flexible workers to provide 24-hour support, 52 weeks a year.

Most staff are based in our education and care teams, working directly with our young people to ensure they have the support to make progress in all areas of their lives. We also have dedicated staff working behind the scenes in a range of roles to ensure the smooth running of our services.

Please note: A full UK driving licence is required due to our location.

Salary: £32,000 - £42,000

Hours: Full time Monday- Friday 37.5 hours per week Contract type: Permanent

The role of Nurse at Prior’s Court

1. To provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to children and young adults with autism and associated complex health needs, including epilepsy, gastrostomy care, wound management, and other medical conditions.
2. To promote the health, wellbeing, and safety of young people through evidence-based clinical practice, effective multi-disciplinary working, and positive partnerships with families and external professionals.
3. To support Prior’s Court in maintaining a safe, caring, autism-informed, and therapeutic environment that reflects the organisation’s values and commitment to outstanding care.

Qualifications

4. Registered Nurse qualification (RNLD, RGN, RMN, or RSCN)
5. Current NMC registration
6. Experience supporting children or young adults with complex health needs
7. Experience delivering training or guidance to staff

What pre-employment checks can I expect?

How soon are being offered the role can I start?
All new staff will join our induction programme when they start at Prior’s Court. You will be booked onto the induction once you have completed all pre-employment checks.
