We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to join our team, working on void properties across Birmingham City Council homes. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
🔨 Your Role:
As a Carpenter, you'll be responsible for a range of joinery tasks, including:

Constructing and fitting wooden structures such as walls, doors, windows, and floors
*
Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and materials using both hand and power tools
*
Assembling furniture, cabinets, and bespoke items as required
*
Carrying out routine maintenance and repair work on wooden structures
*
Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
*
Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations
*
Keeping accurate records of work and maintaining tools to high standards
*
Communicating effectively with clients and team members
*
Completing any additional duties as required by management

👷 What We're Looking For:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
*
Valid CSCS card
*
Basic understanding of Health & Safety in construction
*
Proven experience in joinery work including installation and repair
*
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
*
Full UK driving licence required
