Role: Security Operations Coordinator Location: Wembley Stadium, London Contract: Fixed-term contract | ASAP start – Summer 2028 About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for planning and delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in close partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and communities to deliver a safe, inclusive and world-class tournament. About UEFA EURO 2028 The UEFA European Championship is one of the world’s biggest sporting events. In 2028, the tournament will take place across the UK & Ireland, bringing together Europe’s top national teams across a 31-day, 51-match tournament watched by millions in stadia and billions worldwide. Delivering an event of this scale requires exceptional coordination, professionalism and collaboration. The Safety & Security function at UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of a safe and secure tournament across all official sites — including stadiums, team hotels, training venues, transport hubs and fan zones. As Security Operations Coordinator, you will provide essential coordination and operational support to the Safety & Security team, helping ensure work is planned, tracked, communicated and delivered to a high standard. This is a pivotal role within a high-profile programme, suited to someone who thrives on structure, clarity and supporting others to deliver at pace. What you’ll be doing You will support the smooth running of the Safety & Security function by providing high-quality coordination, administration and operational support. This will include: Acting as a central point of contact for the Security team and supporting internal and external communications. Coordinating logistics for meetings, site visits, working groups and events — including travel, accommodation, venues, agendas and follow-ups. Supporting the development and tracking of project plans, milestones and key deliverables across the tournament timeline. Assisting with financial administration, including raising purchase orders, tracking invoices and supporting budget monitoring. Producing accurate reports, documents and presentation materials to support senior leaders, including the Director of Safety & Security. Managing information sensitively and exercising sound judgement at all times. What we’re looking for We are looking for someone highly organised, dependable and collaborative, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. You will bring: Proven experience providing high-quality administrative or coordination support in a fast-moving or evolving environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional documentation and presentations. Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Experience supporting financial or procurement processes (e.g. purchase orders, invoices, budget tracking). The ability to manage competing priorities and work calmly with sensitive information. Exposure to project coordination or support, with an understanding of project lifecycles and milestones. Experience in safety, security, events or public-facing environments is helpful but not essential. Transferable experience from other sectors is welcomed. Where is the role based? Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however depending on your role you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations. As an event delivery organisation, it’s important that we have regular time together in the office and currently employees come together at least 3 days a week at HQ in Wembley, with the number of days in HQ increasing as the project develops, with a minimum of 3-4 days needed in 2026-2027 and full-time in the year of 2028.
