Established in 1978, with its manufacturing facility based in Wirral, UK, CQRis known for its high-quality components and adherence to global market specifications with a full range of CPR compliant cables. CQR's product platform delivers trusted security solutions for system installers through an established network of Distribution partners.
Following the successful merger of a business acquisition in 2022 the organisation is now preparing for a phase of accelerated growth with a clearly defined go-to-market strategy that deliver profitable growth over the next 3-5 years.
Role
Reporting to the MD and forming part of the senior leadership team, the Finance Director will play a key role in ongoing commercial decision making and strategy formulation to ensure the efficient deployment of company resources. Taking a hands-on approach for day-to-day financial planning, financial statement analysis, financial reporting, and finance-related tasks, the role is primarily located in the Wirral, with a requirement to spend time at additional sites within the organisation in the Midlands and Southport. The Finance Director will take overall responsibility for management of the company’s financial health, compliance, reporting and business support/partnering activities. Role & Responsibilities
* Work with the leadership team to implement the strategy and achieve targets
* Participation in monthly meetings to drive resource allocation decisions
* Help drive group culture, values, working principles and practices
* Business support for all areas of the business
* Management and development of relationships with stakeholders
* Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring efficient use of company resources
* Preparation and presentation of financial information to support business decisions
* Ensuring that the company is compliant with tax and regulatory requirements
* Management of cashflow, CID and foreign exchange requirements
* Development and maintenance of systems, procedures and policies.
* Manage the company payroll and pension functions
Qualifications & Experience
* Recognised accountancy qualification CIMA/ACA/ACCA
* Proven track record in successful Finance Director or similar positions
* Effective leadership skills, with proven ability to inspire, coach and mentor
* An analytical, enquiring mind with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, able to build strong working relationships at all levels
* Display a strong sense of moral integrity
* Experience operating within a manufacturing environment is desirable
* Strong commercial acumen with an ability to see and understand the bigger picture
* IT literate; experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems, BI Software
* MBA advantageous
