What the Job Involves As a Support Worker, you will be part of a Children’s Social Care Service team, providing practical and social support for children, young people, and families. Your role involves contributing to care packages, assessing and managing risk, and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children. You will engage in direct work with families, ensuring child protection and positive outcomes in line with assessment and care plans. Your responsibilities also include undertaking welfare visits, safeguarding children in the community, staying overnight in emergency situations, and monitoring delivery using evidence-based tools. You will participate in meetings, produce accurate reports, manage case expenditure, and ensure data is accurately maintained and confidential.
