Location: Field based covering the Southern region with weekly trips to our Milton Keynes office for training and collaboration

We are looking for a Corporate Account Manager to manage and develop a Corporate Fleet Portfolio of 100+ operating fleets to deliver year on year growth to meet commercial objectives for VWFS. In this delivery focused role, you will be instrumental in delivering a high quality level of customer service with tangible customer value benefits that will secure improved supply status and client retention within a complex and demanding industry.
Qualifications
* Experienced Sales Account Manager with a strong background in the motor financial services, Fleet or corporate services
* Delivery mindset with experience of leading successful customer negotiations and managing contract hire with large customers
Essential Experience & Skills
* You have successfully managed an existing customer portfolio and a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
* Experience of using key account management approaches; creating and developing account plans; manage stakeholders; create customer value and demonstrate value delivered which draws customers to us from existing competitor agreements
* You are great at identifying internal issues affecting performance and leading/facilitating solutions across the various functions that ensure the customer receives excellent service
* In-depth knowledge of pricing structure and dynamics of Corporate pricing models and a thorough understanding of the industry and the issues faced by Fleet Decision Makers
* You can evidence the adoption and application of a structured approach to strategic account development
* You are an articulate communicator and exceptional presenter – able to write Board‑level papers examining options for change and recommendations for customers
* Ability to analyse data and model different options with highly commercial and excellent business‑planning skills
Responsibilities
* Achievement of an annual sales performance target through ordered and delivered cases volume
* Regular face‑to‑face meetings and quarterly fleet performance reviews with key buying influencers within your portfolio
* Regular customer contact through phone and email, and adopting communication tools such as MS Teams
* Develop and own a strategic plan that delivers year‑on‑year portfolio growth
* Manage the renewal process and develop incremental business opportunities
* Maintain customer account plans detailing current product holding, volume expectations, growth expectations and opportunities to sell new products and services
* Credit line management within our company procedure
* Manage the customer experience and deliver a high quality of customer service
* Customer car policy design, cost‑down initiatives for the fleet, value‑added product recommendations including Rent a Car, Cash vs Car evaluation, Future Fleet Analysis, Whole‑Life Cost analysis
* Ownership of all account negotiations and renegotiations including customers “at‑risk” and in tender
* Collaborate with key stakeholders in the business to establish pricing strategies for each customer account within the defined portfolio utilising deal calculators and frameworks to construct appropriate contract negotiations
* Proactive networking to create effective key stakeholder and decision‑maker relationships within all portfolio accounts; ensuring appropriate multiple relationships exist between Customer and Fleet
* Maintain Salesforce, ensuring that all customer record cards are accurate and up to date, all sales activity is recorded and opportunity pipeline with visibility of renewal and incremental won and lost business outcomes completed
* Customer implementation and handover process followed, working with new business colleagues
* Present appropriate and up‑to‑date Fleet Solutions to well‑informed B2B buyers
* Ownership of personal skills development, ensuring skills and knowledge are permanently up to date through maintaining an ongoing and dynamic development plan
* Keep up to date with any environmental, legal, economic, political etc. developments directly impacting fleet users; inform the business of developments seen in the market
Benefits
Bonus: Discretionary 10% on‑target bonus (based on personal and Group company performance) and quarterly and annual sales bonuses.
Pension: Employer pension contribution of 9% (based on employee contribution of 3%). VWFS will pay 6% if the employee chooses a 2% contribution.
