Overview
The Trust is looking to appoint Clinical Advisor EOC (Validators) to work in the Clinical Assessment Service in the Emergency Operations Centres in Bedford, Chelmsford or Norwich.
We are looking for Paramedics and Nurses (Nurses must have adult nursing qualifications). We are looking for full or part time permanent staff ideally to work on our core Rotas. We require a minimum of 18.75hrs per week. There is an initial training period, of approx 3 weeks which will need to be completed on a full-time basis. Clinicians must be able to work at either our Norwich or Chelmsford Control Rooms. We cannot currently support agile or remote working for this role.
Role responsibilities
* This role intercepts lower acuity and clinically appropriate 999 calls, providing advice and arrange for safe and appropriate care pathways for these patients.
* The overriding aim is to appropriately and safely reduce 999 ambulance demand and A&E admissions.
* The candidate will be an integral part of the evolution and establishment of a Regional CAS that will develop a multi-disciplinary approach to 999 call interception as well as routine triage of non-emergency 999 calls.
Qualifications
* The successful applicant must hold an NMC nursing registration OR HCPC registered paramedic.
