1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS2 - Behaviour & SEN Support) – Location: Newton Aycliffe. Contract: Full time. Start Date: ASAP.
We are seeking a dedicated, resilient and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 with behavioural and additional learning needs. This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, consistently positive, and flexible in their approach, with a genuine commitment to helping children thrive both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with behaviour and SEN needs.
* Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
* Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and wider support team.
* Adapting support strategies to meet the pupil\'s changing needs.
* Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.

* Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
* Has experience supporting children with behavioural needs and/or SEN (desirable but not essential).
* Understands the importance of boundaries, routines and emotional support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
