The Wedding and Events Coordinator Role

As part of The Post Barn team you will be working under the guidance of the Wedding and Events Sales Manager and Event Venue Director you will champion and deliver a range of high-quality Weddings and Events at The Post Barn, creating memorable experiences for all of your clients and ensuring the highest standards of operation at all events through exceptional customer service, supplier liaison and collaborative working.
What you'll be doing as part of the team:
* To support the Wedding and Events Sales Manager and Event Venue Director in generating an increased financial contribution to the business by driving sales to the venue and achieving profit targets.
* To operationally deliver exemplary events with the Operations team and enabling them to carry out their duties and provide exemplary customer service, whilst protecting the reputation of the business.
* To demonstrate a cooperative approach ensuring that as a member of The Post team and the wider Donnington & Co Group you work collaboratively with peers to achieve the best possible outcome for the business in line with the strategic plan.
* Conduct thorough site visits of the property with potential clients, and support the Wedding and Events Sales Manager in the training of Coordinator Team to ensure the same a high standard
* To maximise the number of showrounds that can be conducted and the conversion rates that are achieved.
* To respond to all enquiries (by telephone or email) quickly and efficiently and follow up provisional bookings to ensure we convert sales.
* Take responsibility for all office administration including the drawing up of contracts, invoices and other paperwork relating to events, including the maintenance of client and supplier files, tokenising cards, payments and weekly reports.
* To support the Operations Team in ensuring that all Events have an up-to-date and thorough function sheet for each event.
* To be fully conversant with operational procedures, health & safety legislation, company rules, licensing laws and regulations.
* To work weekends and evenings when meetings and events are booked
* Any other reasonable management requests.
Occasionally we may need to review a job description to incorporate any changes or other duties needed for the role as identified by the Line Manager.
